Having so many kids, I always worry that I have been the one to push my desire of a big family onto Michael. You see, when I first met him (he was not quite 18) he was going to be single, no kids, no responsibility. And then I came along, two kids already in tow, and ruined his entire dream!
I realised the other day that every time I see a baby or young child I smile. They make me happy. Probably one of the reasons I have had so many. Actually, babies and cats. Cats make me smile too...
But the sweetest thing is to watch Michael with that same stupid grin, and to hear him say 'I love babies', as he did today. And for him to confirm that he is as happy with our brood as I am. Makes me realise that his new dream is closer to mine that I once realised.

It's those sort of moments every parent treasures. Maybe when you first meet him he couldn't realise how much fun and excitment having kids would bring to his life. I think it is sometimes hard to grasp that concept until your actually holding your own baby in your arms (if you know what I mean).
I am glad his dream is now the same as yours and your one big happy family.
Have a great week and a fun Father's Day tomorrow xxoo

That is so lovely K - there's not enough loveliness in the world so often, so this was especially welcome. Thanks for making me feel all warm and squishy!!!

Oh, this is the nicest thing I have read in a long time. Thank you for sharing this with us, K.
We're off to NZ saturday so probably before we get back you'll be off to parlez Francais in gay Paree or whatever (yes a very long time since school girl french lessons). Have a fantastic time - can't wait to see your wonderful photos again.
